Set between the ocean and the lush landscapes of Tahiti, Fare Arearea is a peaceful collection of traditional-style bungalows created for travellers seeking simplicity, nature and genuine Polynesian hospitality. Located in the quiet Faaone district on Tahiti's east coast, the property offers a refreshing alternative to the busy atmosphere of Papeete - a relaxed beachfront retreat where mornings begin with the sound of waves and beautiful sunrises over the Pacific.
The bungalows sit within a spacious tropical garden filled with palms, greenery and local decorative touches. With only a small number of accommodations, the atmosphere remains intimate, private and unhurried. A path through the garden leads directly to a secluded black-sand beach, placing the ocean just a few steps from each bungalow.

The heart of Fare Arearea is its warm, personal hospitality. Carlos, Hina and the local team are known for their attentiveness, kindness and willingness to help throughout each stay. From communication before arrival to advice about the island and assistance with unexpected travel needs, guests are welcomed with care and treated more like friends than room numbers.
Fare Arearea is not designed as a polished international resort. Its charm lies in its relaxed, rustic character, direct connection to nature and sense of place - a welcoming hideaway for travellers who value ocean views over crowded hotel facilities and authentic island living over unnecessary luxury.
The Property
Everything you need for an easy island stay
Fare Arearea offers direct beachfront access with a private black-sand beach area, free WiFi throughout the property, free on-site parking, and an airport shuttle service on request. Each bungalow is a detached ground-floor unit measuring 30 m² with a private bathroom (shower, toilet, towels, toilet paper), a fully-equipped kitchenette (refrigerator, tea and coffee maker), a work desk, linens, tiled floors and a socket beside the bed. Outdoors you will find a shared covered fare with picnic tables and lounge chairs, BBQ facilities, a terrace, beach chairs, an open-air bath and outdoor furniture facing the ocean. Bike tours, walking tours, snorkeling and hiking start right at the property, and free bicycles are provided for exploring the surroundings. Additional services include bicycle rental, car rental, laundry, baggage storage, private check-in and check-out, concierge assistance, and a safe. The property is fully non-smoking, air-conditioned, family-friendly and secured by CCTV, key access, smoke alarms and fire extinguishers. Languages spoken by the hosts are English and French.
